Brief bio:

After working as an electrical engineer, my interest in people, ideas
and concepts led me to technology marketing and the world of
advertising. It was easy to start my first business in 1987 as a
technical writer and photographer. I evolved into creating a full
service Boston communications studio in 1991 with my wife Jerri and
perfected my skills in layout and design.

While creating photographic images and artwork for clients, I
employed various 3-D modeling, illustration and photo enhancement
tools. Experimenting with these at night, I developed techniques that
could be used to create fine art. This was the beginning of my
abstracts. These early works debuted at the first biannual CyberArts
Festival in Boston in the spring of 1999.

IRIS Graphics sponsored my first gallery show in 1996. Entitled
“Scenes of Africa,” this was one of the earliest framed giclée
print collections displayed at the IRIS Graphics corporate gallery
and then at various galleries in and around Boston. After twelve
years as a corporate photographer I moved to Clearwater Florida, with
my wife and two kids, to pursue my fine art career full time.

Artist’s statement:

The most exciting artwork, in my opinion, is artwork that compels the
viewer to participate in it. That is why I love abstract art.

Each viewer sees something different in my abstracts and always has
something very interesting to say about them. I have talked directly
with literally thousands of people after viewing my artwork. After
getting their feedback and interpretation, I always feel that we have
made some sort of a connection and that I have helped them in some
way. Their comments always include a positive statement and an
improvement on their outlook. I also feel that I have gained a better
understanding of them and people in general.

I love color, patterns and forms that when combined together, seem to
take on a life of their own.
