Teresa Lind Schweitzer MFA

Brief bio: My undergraduate work was completed at the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh. I received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with emphases in drawing, painting, and sculpture. With my degree I moved to Mississippi and took a job sculpting prosthetics.
In 2002, I decided to go to Italy to study the figure at the Florence Academy of Art after which I went to graduate school where I obtained my Master of Fine Arts degree with an emphasis in sculpture. Currently, I am teaching sculpture in the University of Wisconsin system.
With both academic and liberal training, I hope to make contemporary figurative art that combines a sort of stylized academicism with the conceptual; showing sound craftsmanship, and evoking an emotional and intellectual appreciation from the viewer.
