ARTIST STATEMENT
As a subjective approach to social ideas, my paintings and drawings are investigations into plurality, a knowing romanticism, and a personal politic in the attempt to connect seemingly disparate points together. My points of departure are in existential moments, a sense of humour, and balancing bitchy feelings with soft ones. Through the subversion of original matrices from eclectic sources, in this way I contemplate life and the inevitable clichés of life, in a mix of ‘high’ and ‘low’. Asserting a sardonic, but ultimately hopeful sensibility.
