Ritian Lee

Born In China. Residence In Toronto, Canada.   EDUCATION: 1988   Graduated from Lu Xun Academy Of Fine Arts, Shen Yang, China.

 Lee Ritian is a Chinese-Canadian visual artist working in photography, sculpture, installation and performance. Since 1989, he has exhibited both nationally and internationally, with group and solo shows in Canada, China and the United States. His awards and grants include Canada Council for the Arts, Ontario Arts Council, Toronto Arts Council, and the Golden Prize from the Art Museum of Guangdong (China). His works are part of private and public collections in many countries.

Ritian usually likes to express the modern society and the cultural phenomena. His idea comes from his native language and he devotes to combine the traditional and new Chinese cultural symbolism of contemporary context. It also integrates his Chinese heritage with Western post-modernist culture.
