Artist's Statement:

This body of work represents my preoccupation with the reflective surfaces of vintage automobiles. The aesthetic attraction is two fold: first, the strong sculptural quality of automobiles produced during the 1930s through the 1950s, with their bulbous, curving body lines, appeals to my sense of design; and second, the visual complexity generated by these reflective surfaces offers  me interesting subject matter. A city street or landscape may appear in the mirror-like finish of a chrome bumper or the highly polished side-panel of a carefully restored classic car.
