Gail Salisbury Peck
Gail Salisbury Peck is from Maryland. Her earliest childhood memories revolve around cray-pas and drawing. She always has and always will love creating. She majored in Computer Studies with a focus on design and a minor in Art. She received her B.S. degree from the University of Maryland, University College in 2003. Her paintings and mixed media work seek to make statements regarding the various global views toward women, but she also sometimes creates merely for beauty’s sake. Gail has had several shows over the past few years, and won the Best in Show award in the Capitol Arts Network’s Introspective Images show in Bethesda, Maryland during November 2004. Gail is a stay at home mother of three children. Being a mother and wife profoundly affects her work. Whilst there is nothing she would rather be doing during this phase of her life than raising her children, Gail often wishes for more uninterrupted studio time.
